Do audition for ROCK TRIAL. We'd be happy to see you, and it isn't a scary process.
Auditions are on Saturday 15 October 2005, same place at UTOPIA so you can do both easily.
Your age doesn't matter.
Sing a song of your choosing. It should show off your voice to best ability. Sing something modern and punchy. If you're really stuck we'll suggest something: ask us.
Bring sheet music and we'll have an accompanist. Bring a CD and we'll have some way of playing it.
ROCK TRIAL is sung through, so no libretto (words) are required.
We're looking for voice and performance. Give it your all. It's unlikely you could be too big.
Judge, Plaintiff and Defendent are the big three parts with more committment required (i.e. you probably won't be able to do a major part in UTOPIA).
Unless you say otherwise we'll consider you for any part. Tell us if you have a preference or won't do one.

Parts for ROCK TRIAL
Name	Voice	Description
Judge	Baritone, limited range, no big singing voice required.	James Brown, funky, bigger/older/more dominant male.
Plaintiff/Angelina	Soprano, proper.	Vivacious, pushy and sexy, strong, shameless.
Defendant/Edwin	High Baritone/Tenor.	Punky, young, lippy, Green Day, modern pop star.
Counsel	Soprano or Tenor (optional A flat)	Bit of acting-up to the jury.
Usher	Bass/Low Alto	Introduces and sets the scene. Cool and strong.
Foreman	Anything - only sings one line.	In the jury, has one line.
Cowgirls (3)	Soprano/Alto, no extremes of range but must be able to hold harmony lines well.	Angelina's groupies, will do harmony number for her entrance and maybe a bit of a dance.
